50 ¢ Movies: The Candy Snatchers
November 30th, 2007 under 50 cent movies, Bondage, Grindhouse. [ Comments: 1 ]

Candy snatchers

It’s time for another 50 cent movie, so get ready for grindhouse bliss. Candy Snatchers is about three people who snatch Candy and yes, Candy is indeed a girl. She is a cute little blond in a catholic school girl outfit.

The Candy Snatchers is not obviously exploitation, and possibly not the most vile shocking grindhouse cinema, but it is right in there. The topic, the feel, and almost everything about this movie is just right to be called a fifty cent movie. Not just a fifty cent movie, possibly one of the best I’ve reviewed since Out of The Blue. 50 ¢ Movies: Cannibal Holocaust
November 27th, 2007 under 50 cent movies, Grindhouse, Horror. [ Comments: none ]

canibal

Cannibal Holocaust is possibly one of the most gore soaked vile films made. It is full of organs, cannibalism, rape and all things nasty. I am a big fan of shock cinema and gore, but I am not a big fan of Cannibal Holocaust. I will say you need to watch it once but I am not going to be watching this one again.

50 ¢ Movies: Ilsa the She Wolf of the SS
November 17th, 2007 under 50 cent movies, Bondage, Exploitation, Grindhouse, Sexploitation. [ Comments: none ]

This is truly a 50¢ movie, Ilsa She Wolf of the SS is truly trash cinema. I like to use the term trash cinema to describe movies, but this one is truly trash cinema filled with violence torture, rape and nudity. Some say that Nazi sexploitation is a genre of its own. The movie starts off with Ilsa the She Wolf as a ruthless ruler of a Nazi concentration camp, sleeping with one of her captors and cutting off his manhood, and then goes into trash, trash and more trash.
It is part woman’s prison movie, part sexploitation, part Nazi exploitation, and all garbage. Not garbage as in bad, but it’s just filled with filth, and for exploitation that is good. Read more »

50 ¢ Movies: Cop Killer
November 14th, 2007 under 50 cent movies, 80's Cinema, Bondage. [ Comments: none ]

Bondage? Corruption? Cop Killer was also released under the titles “Order of Death” and “Corrupt”. Punk Rock’s own Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols takes on Harvey Keitel. In this masterpiece of forgotten trash cinema. This may be pushing it on making it in the Grindhouses being released in the early 80’s, but the same quality and perfection is here. Cop Killer is a story that leaves me satisfied. We start off with a string of killings, cop killings, and Lt. Fred O’connor (Harvey Keitel) our main character. Read more »
